We had friends who volunteered at the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics. At the time I was moving to LA, so was unable to get personally involved. Volunteers are very necessary for the success of these events, and often under-appreciated. Congratulations to getting involved - I look forward to hearing more from the "inside".

i wonder what those olympic torches weigh? somehow i can't imagine running very far with one of those things these days. it would have to be made out of polystyrene to get me to volunteer to run any distance with it :)
