Well the 2010 Olympic Winter Games have come and gone, bringing glory to Canada. For the first time, Canada won first overall in gold medal wins became the first host nation since Norway in 1952 to lead the gold medal count. Canada also broke the record for the most gold medals won with 14 medals. The previous record was 13, set by the former Soviet Union in 1976 and Norway in 2002.

So I guess it turned out pretty well for Canada and the BC mayors and municipal council members

Not really something I’d want to be associated with. These games will simply go down as a huge waste of taxpayer money for a 2-week event. Meanwhile education and healthcare are facing huge budget shortfalls so the elite can come and party for 2 weeks.

Robertson might find the job challenging, but it’s a great way to get noticed in a short period of time. somehow i doubt that he will begrudge the experience.
