I am fond of watching Olympics and so is my hubby but the only problem is see it when watching the Winter Olympic events because we are bought not use of the coldness of winter and I am sure that we need heaters for that to always keep us warm when in the room and of course thick jackets that will keep us warm when outside.

Im a fan of the Winter Olympics but I think the Summer Olympics gets a lot more attention. I like snowboarding, skiing, and curling.

The winter Olympics in my personal opinion are much better than the summer, the cross country skiing for example takes a hell of a lot of endurance and stamina, these guys are fit!

Thanks for your comment JordsMan. These are just the categorys for the individual events. All 86 of those events fits into one of the categories that I listed. You can see on http://www.vancouver2010.com/ that the same 15 categories are listed across the top of their page as well.

I prefer the summer Olympics because firstly, there are more events to watch and the tension/excitement is incredible! Also, more countries tend to participate in the summer Olympics and I love seeing athletes from all over the world being so passionate and excited about their events! I love learning about athletes from countries I don’t see everyday.The main fact that the Winter Olympics exclude so many countries is a major turnoff for me. In the Winter Olympics, who participates? USA, Canada, Sweden, Austria, Norway, Poland, Iceland….Santa Claus and his reindeer. How boring! No one from the Caribbean, South America or Africa. The whole point of an Olympics is the togetherness/peace of two weeks to compete in sports. During the Winter Games what, 15 countries compete? What about the rest of the world? Blah! Boring! Granted, snowboarding looks cool but the other events are blah!
